Online Membership Registration Available
Online membership registration is now available. Please use the link to fill in and submit your registration information and agreement to the required legal documents. This is a new system, so please be patient if there are problems, and let us know what you think! You may use the online member payment page to submit membership payment using Paypal or a credit card (a small service fee will be added to cover the cost charged by Paypal for this service).
Paper Membership Registration Forms
BFSC membership registration may still be completed by submitting the paper Membership Registration Form, paper Membership Signature Form and payment by check or cash. Forms can be downloaded as PDF files from our Documents and Forms page, printed, filled out and returned to the club Membership Chair.
Club Ice Time
Club ice is available for practice and private lessons with a professional coach. Private lessons can start at any time and at any level. You can also take private lessons while participating in the Learn to Skate USA program. Please visit our coaches page to learn more about setting up private lessons with a qualified coach.
Club ice is available at the SUNY Broome Ice Center on Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Please see our calendar for the full schedule. Spring and summer ice time may be available at the Ice House Sports Complex (formerly Chenango Ice Rink), depending on availability and interest.
Please note: To skate unsupervised by an adult, young skaters must demonstrate at least Learn to Skate USA Basic 3 skating ability.
Club Ice Time Accounts
Skaters pay by the hour for club ice time. Purchase of ice time is recorded in a skater’s personal ice time account. Balances are kept by our club accountant, but should be monitored on our website by the skater or the skater’s parent(s)/guardian(s).
Skaters may skate for the duration of available ice time or just a portion. At each club session, skaters must sign in and out of the logbook to track ice time used. Skaters who do not sign out will be charged for the remaining time in the session, at the discretion of the board member or ice monitor in charge of the session.
Ice Time Package Fees
Skaters who join the Club must purchase ice time packages to skate on club ice. These packages are now available for purchase online. Ice time is not transferable between skaters/families, but may carry over into the next skating season. See below for pricing options. You may purchase more ice time at any time in the season. Payment for ice time packages can be made by cash, check, or online using our new Ice Time Purchase page. A small service fee will be added for online payments to cover the cost charged by Paypal for this service.

Club rules and code of conduct
The Binghamton Figure Skating Club is committed to creating a safe and positive environment for skaters’ physical, emotional, and social development and ensuring that it promotes an environment free of misconduct. The Skater Code of Conduct has been established to ensure the safety of all skaters using our ice to ensure quality practice time for all skaters who purchase ice from the club and who participate in all club-related activities.
- All skaters, regardless of whether they hold home club, associate, or non-member status, must follow and uphold the tenets in this Skater Code of Conduct regarding behavior on and off the ice. All skaters are expected to exhibit good sportsmanship and be courteous toward their fellow skaters, coaches, parents of skaters, U.S. Figure Skating officials and guests.
- Our club is committed to promoting a positive and friendly environment for all skaters. Remember ‘The Golden Rule’—treat other people like you want to be treated—with respect.
Guidelines for Dress and Equipment
Skaters are requested to wear figure skates on club ice sessions unless prior approval has been obtained from the Board. Protective equipment should be appropriate for a figure skating club ice session; skaters are encouraged to wear padding and may wear helmets or other protective headgear, as long as vision and hearing are not impaired.
